Making the most of creativity

Creative thinking is the cornerstone of innovation. If we can harness our creative potential, as an individual, or as teams, then we can innovate solutions that make the world a better place.

Creative thinking is often overlooked, rushed through, or squeezed out. If you undervalue creativity like this then you’ll never produce the awesome, inspiring and unique products that are possible.

Here’s a slide deck that outlines how creativity works, how we all operate creatively and shows our Redweb tips for better brainstorming*

*Brainstorming is one of those politically incorrect phrases these days, but until there’s a better alternative, I apologise, but I’m sticking with it. Terms like ‘thought shower’ and ‘kick start think piece’ just sound wrong and don’t carry the weight this term deserves. ‘Brain sailing’ maybe the best alternative offered up so far. It alludes to control and purpose and for us here in Bournemouth, by the sea, perhaps is most appropriate.
