World Usability Day
On Thursday 11th November it’s World Usability Day. Founded in 2005 by the Usability Professionals’ Association (UPA) it’s aim is to “ensure that services and products important to human life are easier to access and simpler to use”, which makes it the perfect day to launch our new User Experience (UX) lab and Creative Suite.
To derive the most from user testing, we’ve set up a dedicated UX lab situated at the heart of London. Purposefully designed to accommodate qualitative research, and collaborative working, the lab consists of 3 main areas. The first a user testing lab; the second a comfortable, relaxed and informal observation room complete with plasma TV and one-way glass allowing our clients to have an unobstructed view of tests as they take place. The final area is an open space designed specifically for collaborative working, such as stakeholder workshops or audience focus groups.

We’ve been working on the new lab for the past 6-8 months and it’s been a fantastic experience watching it evolve over time. It’s great to finally see it finished and to celebrate we’re opening up the doors to show it off properly.
UX, Creativity, and Canapés
As well as giving us a chance to celebrate it’s an opportunity for people to see the new facilities first-hand and chat to the team about UX, the role the lab plays, and what it’s able to offer.
The launch is taking place from 5pm on Thursday 11th November, and we’re also opening our doors on Friday 12th November for anyone interested in popping in for a a one to one tour of the facilities. if you want to know more or would like to book a place for either Thursday or Friday please call Lisa Todd on 01202 779944 or email 82toparty@redweb.com.
