Julie East — Senior Designer
As one of the senior designers at Redweb my role is to ensure that the work we deliver conforms to current web standards whilst demonstrating a high level of design and creativity. Say ‘Accessibility’ and people look to me!
I graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a BA (Hons) degree in graphic design and joined Redweb back in 2000. In my time here I have developed my passion for, and championing of, accessibility. This partly stems from my involvement with many of our large public sector sites for which accessibility is a key consideration. I have carried out numerous projects in this area from completing audits to building accessible websites. In the heady world of digital, where there is a new fad coming out every five minutes, I ensure that we focusing on techniques for both creating and testing websites to ensure they reach the required level of accessibility.
Out of hours I’ll generally be found enjoying the gorgeous Dorset coastline, sitting down with a good book or pottering about in our (very small) garden.
